SUBTOPICS AND SUBGROUPS
Workshop participants have been divided into five subgroups as indicated. This subdivision has been established seeking a certain background and geographical equilibrium between components of each subgroup. The five subgroup will meet separately during the parallel subgroup sessions, and discuss within their subtopic the issues relevant to the four fundamental questions: long-term durability of FRP-repaired structures; compatibility of the FRP system with the parent material; minimal invasiveness and reversibility of the upgrade; and material selection. Each subgroup will be coordinated by one of its members (group leader), whose name is indicated in red in the table below.
All Workshop participants have been asked to work out a “position paper” related to the subtopic pertaining to his/her group. The position papers will now be sent to subgroup leaders. The leaders will get back to the respective subgroups to coordinate the development of a subgroup “white paper”.
PROCEEDINGS
Subgroup chairmen, with cooperation of subgroup members, will work out a final document in which the main items and results of the discussion will be condensed. All subgroup documents will be published as a University publication and copies will be sent to all possibly interested institutions. Excerpts will be published on Italian and international technical journals.
SOCIAL PROGRAM
A social program and dinner for the evening of June 9 (Wednesday) will be organized for the Workshop participants. Further information will be given as soon as available.
